R.I.P.

Well, I've seen plenty of weird things going on under the viaduct from the window of my office, but today definitely took the cake. A bunch of cops and paramedics were pulling a dead body out of the bushes. Hopefully it was just some drug-addict who overdosed and not a murder or something icky like that.

"I too am a Knight of Noble Birth"

I was thinking about how boring modern fashions are. Just think how exciting and adventurous the world would be if people started wearing swords and codpieces again!
Seriously folks...

Them other boys don’t know how to act"

"Cute is What We Aim For"

So the other day I realized that I really hate squirrels. Maybe it's their beady little eyes, always looking like they're plotting something. Maybe it's because I got ambushed by one who came popping out of the garbage can when I was throwing away some trash. Watch out, you could be next!

Overheard:

So I'm walking down 2nd Avenue in Seattle, when I hear this crazy homeless guy shout:

"Buckle your seatbelts Seattle, I got me a new cat!"

I swear I am not making this up.

Meeeow!

On Parnassus' Peaceful Slopes

Why I love Classics 210, and Sophocles too:

"...with such imprecations he struck his eyes again and yet again with the pins of the brooches. And the bleeding eyeballs gushed and bedewed his beard. No sluggish oozing drops, but a black rain and bloody hail poured down."

Sophocles, Oedipus Rex

Yum...

A Clean Slate

Well, my esteemed Readers, I have decided that since a new quarter and a new year are starting, it is time to resurrect the Ol' Blog. I will be very busy this winter, but I will try to keep up with approximately weekly updates on my perilous adventures at the U of W.

Today was the first day of classes, and also the day I bought my textbooks. My Greek and Roman Classics class alone required me to buy 11(!) different books, so don't ask me to give you a loan or bail you out of jail for awhile.

Anyways, I am now going to bed, but I look forward to continuing with my "on again, off again" blogging.

Gros Bisous, (Just Kidding)
